In the framework of discussions on the future EU budget, the European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP), the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) have developed a set of recommendations on democracy support in the new EU external programming.

With the following statement, we would like to call on EU staff in Brussels and in Delegations worldwide to translate their strategic and operational ambitions into democracy support programmes to achieve the objectives of the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI).
