Organised by ENoP member Christian Democratic International Center (KIC), the expert discussion took place on 2 May 2023 in Brussels, Belgium. The event was an opportunity to present their new publication Voices in Exile, and to bring together some of the featured activists with key stakeholders in Brussels.

The aim of the policy brief is to strengthen the voices of activists living in exile by documenting their struggle and putting forward policy suggestions to European policy makers. The policy brief focuses on three countries China, Belarus, and Nicaragua.
