On 6 March 2020 the Foundation Max van der Stoel (FMS) and the European Network of Political Foundations hosted in The Hague an event Exchange of training experiences.

During this full day event, participants discussed and exchanged the different methods and best practices when it comes to organizing capacity building trainings for political parties in third countries. The event was aiming to give a better understanding of how the different political foundations that are part of ENoP organize their capacity building training activities in third countries: democracy support in practice; to identify the expertise of the foundations and to create connections to exchange knowledge and materials; and to get updated about the current activities of the foundations when it comes to themes and geographical scope.

Participants to discuss the methodology, dos and don’ts as well as the challenges when it comes to the implementation of trainings. The event was about collecting and reflecting on everyone’s experience with trainings. It was a clarification of processes allowing the participants presented ideas for potential follow-up work/activities.
